A Free Pre-Course to Enter Diploma Study with Scholarship

a TASTE and preparation for THE THEOLOGICAL STUDY

A Foundation for Theological Study

The Olivet Theological Seminary Pre-Course prepares prospective students for the Diploma of Christian Studies by building a strong biblical and spiritual foundation. It introduces disciplined Scripture study and helps applicants consider their readiness for theological education, ministry formation, and practical mission work.

Core Areas of Study

The Pre-Course covers three foundational areas: the Book of Romans and basic Christian doctrines, the Path of the Cross and the life of Jesus, and Acts 1–2 with its focus on the foundation of Christian mission. Students are encouraged not only to gain biblical knowledge but also to reflect on the Gospel, discipleship, and God’s call to mission.

Personal Guidance and Support

Each student will be assigned a supervisor who will guide them throughout the Pre-Course. Several one-to-one Zoom meetings will also be scheduled to explain key points, answer questions, review progress, and support students in completing the course successfully. The programme is free of charge and should normally be completed within 40 days, followed by an assessment.

A Pathway to Further Study

For applicants seeking the regional full scholarship, Pre-Course completion forms part of the assessment process, together with the Bible entrance examination, English proficiency, Christian references, and other eligibility requirements. It offers students an initial experience of how God’s Word can shape their faith, character, calling, and future ministry.
