MASTER courses

MASTER OF DIVINITY

Olivet Theological Seminary’s Master of Divinity program is designed to prepare men and women for faithful and effective leadership in the church and in global mission. Through advanced theological study, spiritual formation, and supervised ministry experience, students will deepen their understanding of God’s Word and develop the pastoral and leadership capacities necessary for long-term ministry. Students in the program will:

  • Deepen their understanding of Scripture: Engage in advanced study of the Old and New Testaments, exploring biblical theology, interpretation, and the historical and cultural contexts of Scripture.
  • Strengthen their theological foundation: Study systematic and historical theology in greater depth, gaining the ability to articulate Christian doctrine clearly and respond thoughtfully to contemporary theological and cultural challenges.
  • Develop pastoral and ministry leadership skills: Receive practical training in preaching, pastoral care, discipleship, church leadership, evangelism, and mission, preparing them to shepherd congregations and lead ministry initiatives.
  • Integrate theology and ministry practice: Through supervised ministry and reflective learning, connect theological knowledge with real-life ministry contexts in the church and community.
  • Cultivate spiritual maturity and pastoral character: Grow in Christlike character, spiritual disciplines, and a lifelong commitment to serving God and caring for His people.
